The LVN will also assess symptomology, provide crisis intervention, and medication education.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse in California required.
- Valid CA Driver’s License and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
- Cultural competency understanding required.
- If substance use disorder program a negative tuberculosis test (TB) is conducted under licensed medical supervision within 45 working days of hire or within 5 working days of employment.
- Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification upon hire or within 90-days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
- Conduct Vitals, health and wellness screenings/assessments, wellness coaching and education.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
- Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
- Ensure doctor’s orders are carried out and coordinate medication orders and refills with pharmacies.
- Participate in shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
- Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
- Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
- Participate in scheduled program meetings.
- Attend Quarterly Medication Monitoring Committee.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
