Requirements

Current and unrestricted Texas LVN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a changing environment
Knowledge of medication administration, patient monitoring, and nursing standards of care
Strong critical-thinking and communication skills
Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred
Behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or psychiatric nursing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient health status
Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records
Complete and document vital signs, withdrawal assessments, safety assessments, and nursing evaluations
Monitor patient progress and communicate concerns to physicians and treatment teams
Respond to changing patient needs and clinical situations
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, counselors, and behavioral health staff to provide quality patient care
Conduct patient rounds and support facility safety procedures
Provide patient and family education related to treatment and recovery
Ensure compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
Assist with admissions, orientations, and other clinical support functions
