About The Position

Provide one-on-one skilled and respite care to children and adults with developmental disabilities, supporting clients and their families. Care may include g-tube care and feeding, taking vital signs, administering medication, checking blood sugar and administering insulin, and seizure management. Trach care may be needed rarely; prior experience with it is not required. The role includes documenting each visit in nursing notes and monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ care or behavior. Requirements

Active California LVN license.
CPR certification.
Physical examination within the last six months and a current TB test.
Valid CPR card and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
At least one year of experience.
Clear criminal background.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities.
Provide g-tube care and feeding.
Take vital signs and administer medication.
Provide trach care; this is rarely needed, and experience is not required.
Check blood sugar and administer insulin injections.
Manage seizures, including administering medication if ordered and ensuring client safety.
Document each visit in nursing notes.
Support clients and their family members.
Monitor and report changes in client care or behavior.
