About The Position
This unique program provides high quality psychiatric stabilization and competency restoration services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness. As an LVN you will play an important role with Liberty’s treatment team.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Experience in mental health services
- Ability to administer medication, including injectables
- Skills in health education and basic counseling
- Proficiency in documenting patient health status and treatment progress
- Ability to participate in clinical team meetings
- Collaboration skills with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, and security staff
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a forensic mental health program
- Experience working within a detention center or jail environment
Responsibilities
- Providing in-person care to inmates within the jail
- Administering medication, including injectables
- Health education and basic counseling
- Documenting patient health status and treatment progress
