Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic - Full-Time, Days
About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process. This role involves triaging patient calls, communicating with providers, and utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for selected patient populations and their families. The LVN performs specific nursing care related to the specialty of cardiology, collects patient data such as vital signs, notes patient appearance and response to stimuli, and reports this information. They also prepare patient records, administer prescribed medications, and monitor treatment progress. This position is for the Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic and is full-time, working 40 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role requires travel to the Rockwall location 1-2 times per week as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Requirements
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)
- Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required) or BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required)
- Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies
- Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
- Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
- Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
- Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Efficient time management skills
Nice To Haves
- LVN experience (strongly preferred)
- Bilingual in English / Spanish (preferred)
Responsibilities
