Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Days

Position Summary: Performs the functions of a licensed LVN; practices data collection, and participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of assigned patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Performs procedures signed off as competent on their unit specific skills competency check list. Prefer experience performing Nursing practice consistent with the performance standards of the LVN or equivalent. Work requires knowledge of patient data collection and nursing standards, knowledge of the California Vocational Board of Nursing rules and regulations, hospital policies and procedures, basic pharmaceutical, math skills.
Requirements
- Completion of accredited LVN program
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Currently licensed by the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing
- Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate
- Knowledge of patient data collection and nursing standards
- Knowledge of the California Vocational Board of Nursing rules and regulations
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
- Basic pharmaceutical math skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing Nursing practice consistent with the performance standards of the LVN or equivalent
- Peripheral IV experience and skills
- Good time management and prioritizing skills
- Computer experience
