Requirements

• Requires completion of accredited LVN program.
• Must possess good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Good time management and prioritizing skills.
• Currently licensed by the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing with Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing Nursing practice consistent with the performance standards of the LVN or equivalent.
• Work requires knowledge of patient data collection and nursing standards, knowledge of the California Vocational Board of Nursing rules and regulations, hospital policies and procedures, basic pharmaceutical, math skills.
• Peripheral IV experience and skills preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the functions of a licensed LVN; practices data collection, and participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of assigned patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
• Performs procedures signed off as competent on their unit specific skills competency check list.
