Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN – Heart & Vascular Specialists – Full-Time, Days
About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process. This role involves triaging patient calls, communicating with providers, and utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for selected patient populations and their families. The LVN will perform specific nursing care related to cardiology, collect patient data, prepare patient records, administer prescribed medications, and monitor treatment progress. This position is full-time, working 40 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Travel to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided) is approximately 25%.
Requirements
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)
- Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
- ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)
- Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies
- Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
- Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
- Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
- Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Efficient time management skills
Nice To Haves
- 1 year LVN experience (preferred)
Responsibilities

- Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
- Administers certain prescribed medications and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
