About The Position

The Texas Health LVN Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence-based onboarding program designed for graduate LVNs. It offers a 15-month employment commitment, providing new LVNs with guided clinical experience, an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, debriefing/self-care sessions, and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents will gain experience on their selected home units and rotate through other departments to broaden their nursing skills. This program aims to equip new LVNs with the experience, judgment, skills, and confidence needed to navigate complex hospital environments.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program required.
• Acceptance into THR residency program required.
• LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

Nice To Haves

• Graduated within the last 12 months preferred.
• Less than one-year experience at the time the residency begins preferred.
• Have not previously completed a THR nursing residency preferred.
