About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their team. They emphasize practicing at the top of your license, offering transparent pay, and a structured career ladder. The facility is state-of-the-art, featuring two dedicated DVMs and an experienced support team committed to high standards of care, utilizing the latest advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness. They provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, along with an in-house laboratory and ultrasonography.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Texas Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) state license.
  • Experience in Anesthesia & Analgesia, including full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
  • Experience in Dentistry, including full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy.
  • Experience in Diagnostics, including high-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
  • Experience in Nursing & Triage, including critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
  • Willingness to mentor assistants/externs.

Responsibilities

  • Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
  • Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
  • Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
  • Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
  • Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
