About The Position

Corfu Veterinary Clinic is a fast-paced, five-doctor small animal practice seeking a focused, compassionate, and team-oriented LVT with strong multi-tasking skills. Our technicians are essential to our practice and are fully utilized across all areas of patient care- from lab work and imaging to anesthesia and client education. We foster communication and collaboration through monthly small group meetings and heavily support professional growth through continuing education, hands-on training, or expanded roles within the practice. Team-building is important, and we organize several social events throughout the year. Our team is also actively involved in our community.

Requirements

  • A licensed veterinary technician
  • An active license in the state of New York is required
  • 6+ months experience working as a veterinary technician
  • Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
  • Rotating Saturday availability
  • Strong computer skills
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Fast learner
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate precisely in person and on the phone
  • Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow
  • Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
  • Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
  • Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
  • Proficient in anesthesia preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
  • Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
