About The Position
VCA Village Animal Hospital in Larchmont, NY is seeking a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary family! Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
- Skills include, but are not limited to: Physical examinations and patient assessment, Anesthesia monitoring, Surgical preparation and assisting, Dentistry, Radiology, Laboratory work, Venipuncture, Catheter placement, Pharmacy, Patient recovery, Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals.
Responsibilities
- Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
- Win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
- Utilize knowledge of credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) in performing duties.
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
- Monitor anesthesia.
- Prepare for and assist in surgeries.
- Perform dentistry.
- Conduct radiology.
- Perform laboratory work.
- Perform venipuncture.
- Perform catheter placement.
- Manage pharmacy.
- Oversee patient recovery.
- Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
