About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for The Cat Clinic in Columbia, SC. This feline-only practice has a 30-year legacy and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures. The clinic follows AAHA utilization guidance and encourages technicians to work at the top of their license, serving as clinical leaders. The role involves a variety of technical skills and leadership opportunities, with a focus on patient-first care and professional growth.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid South Carolina Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) state license.
• Credentialed technicians are clinical drivers of patient care.
• Ability to work at the top of your license.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
