About The Position

The Licensed Veterinary Technician (ER/CC) role at Virginia Veterinary Center is for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician with a passion for emergency and critical care. This position is on the front lines of patient care, utilizing advanced skills to treat diverse and challenging cases, making a difference for pets and their families. The role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team and engaged leadership, utilizing expertise in areas such as IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction & monitoring, surgical nursing, and radiology. Requirements

• Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT)
• Emergency or critical care experience preferred
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment

Responsibilities

• Licensed/Credentialed Veterinary Technician with strong technical skills (to include placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering medication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing care, radiographs, etc.)
• Adaptable, calm under pressure, and compassionate in all situations
• Dedicated to lifelong learning and passionate about veterinary medicine
