Requirements

Valid Virginia State Veterinary Technician License Required

Responsibilities

Venipuncture, IV catheter placement
Obtaining and interpreting patient vital signs
Perform laboratory tests (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, fecal flotation, ear cytology etc.)
Induce and monitor anesthesia
Surgical assisting & monitoring
Perform dental prophylaxis, charting
Care for hospitalized patients
Administer medications (oral, injectable, transdermal...)
Obtaining radiographs
