About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support their Boarded Surgeon. The role involves monitoring anesthesia and assisting in general and emergency soft-tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgeries. Requirements

• Must hold a valid Texas LVT state license.
• Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

Nice To Haves

• VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) designation may lead to higher pay.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting in general and emergency soft-tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgeries.
• Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
