About The Position

Ark Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and is passionate about improving the lives of pets and their owners. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and some closing shifts. Employees may work three long shifts and one short shift to reach 40 hours, allowing three days off each week. The hourly salary is $23.00–$30.00, determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care has served the Henrietta and Rochester communities since 2018, providing general veterinary services and urgent care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Requirements

Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
