About The Position

CVES in Clarksville, TN is looking to add an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team! This role requires an experienced veterinary technician who is passionate about anesthesia and specialty medicine. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine.
  • LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required.
  • In-depth understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
  • Advanced skill set includes experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required.

  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
