About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician in Los Angeles, CA! This role is for a passionate assistant looking to improve their skills in the veterinary field, specifically in surgery. The opportunity involves working with experienced veterinary professionals. The schedule is Wednesday-Saturday, with a pay range of $24.00 - $49.00 per hour. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified RVT candidates. The pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system. Competitive shift differential pay is available for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgery.
- Safely restrain patients for procedures.
- Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Prepare slides for cytology.
- Proficiently perform digital radiographs.
- Monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
- Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
- Mentor and train other co-workers.
- Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
