About The Position

Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LCP) to join their expanding Mental Health Department. FHCSD has been providing caring, affordable, high-quality health care and supportive services for over 55 years, with a commitment to the uninsured, low-income, and medically underserved. As one of the largest behavioral health services providers in San Diego County, FHCSD operates over 90 sites and serves over 227,000 patients annually. The Mental Health Department emphasizes a holistic approach, considering both physical and mental health, and fosters an inclusive community that promotes teamwork and continuous learning. New therapists benefit from a structured orientation and a Buddy Program for peer support.

Requirements

• Must have an active registration in good standing with the State of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) or Clinical Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling sessions to assigned patients
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
• Performs initial assessment and on-going care
• Participates in the development of individualized care plans
• Addresses co-occurring disorders
• Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Coordinate with Case Managers and patient support staff
• Connect patients to internal/external resources as appropriate
• Performs other duties as assigned
