About The Position

Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is hiring a licensed therapist to provide outpatient behavioral health services to patients with mild to moderate acuity needs. The therapist provides assessment, counseling, and ongoing care, and collaborates with patients to develop individualized care plans that address co-occurring disorders.

The position works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and coordinates with case managers, patient support staff, and other medical professionals. Therapists receive support from colleagues and administrators, a structured orientation, and a designated peer through FHCSD's Buddy Program. The Mental Health Department emphasizes teamwork, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Active registration in good standing with the State of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Clinical Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling sessions to assigned patients.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform initial assessments and provide ongoing care.
• Participate in developing individualized care plans.
• Address co-occurring disorders.
• Work as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Coordinate with case managers and patient support staff.
• Connect patients to internal and external resources as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
