About The Position

OhioGuidestone is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join their MRSS (Mobile Response and Stabilization Services) team in Delaware County. This role is crucial in providing fast, flexible, and compassionate crisis care to individuals and families. The therapist will work under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor/Manager, aiming to bring calm to crisis situations, connect clients with vital resources, and meet people where they are.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from a relevant accredited program; OR Bachelor’s degree from a relevant accredited program with 2 years’ experience in social work or counseling; OR Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral science or nursing.
• LSW or LCDC III, LPC, MFT license.

• Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment.
• Flexible; able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed to meet client needs.

• Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.
• Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records.
• Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
• Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
• Funding sources may require OhioGuidestone to hire an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy to an assigned caseload, potentially including clients with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, or those requiring specialty therapeutic services.
• Complete documented evidence-based Treatment Plans after the first client encounter and review progress in each subsequent progress note.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and caregivers.
• Respond to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner, acknowledging unique and intersecting personal and cultural identities.
• Identify appropriate interventions for clients in crisis, access resources, and engage community partners to develop support plans.
• Provide Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST), SUD Targeted Case Management, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and/or minor case management functions as needed.
• Serve as a liaison to coordinate services, make referrals, and arrange for community resources, acting as a client advocate.
• Actively participate in treatment conferences and meetings, maintaining contact with other professionals involved in client cases.
• Accurately and promptly document client and family interactions, including legal, financial, and clinical information, within agency guidelines.
• Attend and participate in regular supervision.
• Maintain all required licenses.
• Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.

• Present the Agency positively in all internal and external interactions.
