About The Position

Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI) seeks a Child and Family Clinician for its Family Support Line (FSL) in Media, PA. This role involves close collaboration with FSL and Delaware County Child Advocacy Center (DCCAC) staff. The primary responsibilities include completing referrals, conducting intake evaluations, and providing therapy to children, families, and adults. The position utilizes evidence-based therapies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Problem Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavior Therapy (PSB-CBT) for school-age children who have experienced problem sexual behavior. The Clinician may also provide trauma-focused group treatment using CBITS offsite at schools and screen children referred to JJPI for problem sexual behavior in school settings. This role requires meticulous recordkeeping in alignment with grant requirements and timely submission of grant-related documentation. This is a full-time, grant-funded position, with continued employment contingent on available funding. JJPI will consider employees for other program opportunities if funding concludes.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited program in a clinical field (e.g., clinical psychology, mental health counseling) required.
• At least two years of clinical experience with populations served, including individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse (CSA) and/or other traumas.

Nice To Haves

• Independent practice license, license eligible, or actively working towards clinical licensure.
• Experience with TF-CBT, PSB-CBT, and CBITS (training will be provided if not trained).
• Bilingual in Spanish/English and/or other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all participants of JJPI in Delaware County.
• Conduct evaluations of referred participants, including interviewing participants and other involved parties, and administering and interpreting psychometric measures.
• Provide consultation and individual therapy using TF-CBT, PSB-CBT, and CBITS.
• Complete school screening evaluations of children exhibiting problematic sexual behavior (PSB) and provide recommendations to parents/caregivers and school staff.
• Work closely with staff from partner organizations FSL and DCCAC, providing informal clinical consultation and serving on treatment/staffing/consultation teams.
• Participate in case management activities to support participants' healing and recovery.
• Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervisions.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with other community agencies and organizations.
• Make initial contact with participants within two business days of assignment.
• Maintain clinical records and complete paperwork in accordance with agency and grant requirements, including treatment plans, progress notes, case management notes, utilization reports, and discharge summaries.
• Follow agency and funder guidelines and requirements.
• Work effectively with other staff and contribute to a team approach to treatment.
• Complete grant-related documentation, including data collection, submission of narrative descriptions, and outcome measures.
• Understand and communicate with other programs within JJPI and PHMC, fostering a collaborative team approach.
• Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
