About The Position

Backpack Healthcare provides accessible behavioral healthcare to children, teens, young adults, and their families — 100% online and covered by most insurance. We are a clinician-led, minority-owned organization seeking Maryland-licensed therapists who are energized by evening and weekend work and want to make a meaningful impact during these high-demand peak care hours. This role offers competitive pay, additional monthly bonus potential, professional growth, and a supportive team environment. The schedule is designed around the highest-demand hours: Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Weekends: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This part-time schedule requires peak-hour availability when children are home from school and parents are available.

Requirements

Active Maryland license: LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
Strong communication, documentation, and technology skills
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Conducting clinical intakes and developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
Providing individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth
Collaborating with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
Supporting families through education and care coordination
Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
Building meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients and families
Delivering culturally responsive care that meets families where they are
