About The Position

Turning Point Care Center, LLC has provided a place of healing and hope to adults who suffer from behavioral health disorders and/or substance abuse for over 40 years. They are committed to providing quality behavioral health care through inpatient and outpatient gender-specific programs in Moultrie, GA. Their serene, rural setting offers a secure environment for patients to build a foundation for lifelong recovery. The organization believes in creating healthy communities through healthy individuals. Therapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. They must be aware of social factors affecting psychological well-being, available services for improvement, and be skilled in conducting evaluative interviews. Full-time therapists typically work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, leading group therapy in the mornings and conducting individual sessions, family contacts, case management, and treatment planning in the afternoons. Clinical supervision for licensure and free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are provided during work hours. This specific full-time opening is within the inpatient Men's substance abuse program. The facility's continuum of care includes inpatient hospitalization and outpatient programs with a "therapeutic community" approach emphasizing self and peer accountability.

Requirements

  • Licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing: LMSW, LAMFT, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
  • Masters Degree required
  • New graduates (within last 12 months) from Masters Therapist/Social Worker/Counselor Programs working towards licensure may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues.
  • Be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well-being of individuals.
  • Be aware of services/programs for psychological/sociological improvement of individuals.
  • Conduct evaluative interviews.
  • Provide group therapy in the mornings.
