About The Position
Cornerstones of Maine is seeking a Psychotherapist/ Psychologist/ Therapist/ Clinician/ Counselor (Psy.D, PHD, LCPC, LCSW, etc.) to join their residential young adult mental health program. The program has been providing evidence-based, research-driven mental health services to young adults for nearly a decade. This role is based in Portland, Maine, and offers the opportunity to work within an organization that values a compassionate culture, a meaningful mission, and strong opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential or inpatient settings, particularly with young adults facing significant mental health challenges. The program supports young adults transitioning to independence while managing their mental health, utilizing an integrated therapeutic model. Psychotherapists manage a small caseload and provide individual, group, and family therapy in a collaborative, team-based environment. This position offers hands-on clinical work and opportunities for skill development.
Requirements
- Licensed psychotherapist, psychologist, therapist, clinician, LCPC, or LCSW
- Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience working in mental health settings, including with neurodivergent adolescents and/or young adults
- Strong understanding of clinical work
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
- CPR certification required by date of permanent hire
