About The Position

Cornerstones of Maine is seeking a Psychotherapist/ Psychologist/ Therapist/ Clinician/ Counselor (Psy.D, PHD, LCPC, LCSW, etc.) to join their residential young adult mental health program. The program has been providing evidence-based, research-driven mental health services to young adults for nearly a decade. This role is based in Portland, Maine, and offers the opportunity to work within an organization that values a compassionate culture, a meaningful mission, and strong opportunities for professional growth. Candidates with experience in residential or inpatient settings, particularly with young adults facing significant mental health challenges, are sought. The program supports young adults navigating the challenges of transitioning to independence while learning to manage their mental health, utilizing an integrated therapeutic model. Psychotherapists manage a small caseload and provide individual, group, and family therapy. The environment fosters a collaborative, team-based approach. This position offers a blend of hands-on clinical work and the chance for in-depth exploration and development of clinical skills. Requirements

  • Licensed psychotherapist, psychologist, therapist, clinician, LCPC, or LCSW
  • Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience working in mental health settings, including with neurodivergent adolescents and/or young adults
  • Strong understanding of clinical work
  • Master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • CPR certification required by date of permanent hire
