About The Position

As a School Social Worker with Point Quest Group, you'll play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional well-being, social development, and access to resources that help them thrive in school and beyond. From providing direct counseling services to connecting families with community supports, you'll be a trusted advocate for students facing challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Requirements

Current and valid New Mexico social work license (LBSW or LCSW/LISW) issued by the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners, along with a New Mexico PED School Social Worker license (Pre-K-12).
Criminal Background Check (fingerprint clearance)
TB Clearance (current within the past 60 days or as required by employer)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a school-based setting
Strong knowledge of community mental health resources
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Offer social-emotional input, behavioral goals, and recommendations for interventions.
Act as a bridge between home, school, and community resources. Support families by connecting them to relevant services and programs.
Respond to crises and provide immediate support to students, staff, and families during emergency situations.
Maintain thorough and confidential records of student progress, services provided, and communication with stakeholders. Prepare documentation for IEP meetings and evaluations.
Collaborate with educators, psychologists, counselors, administrators, and other team members to assess student needs and create holistic support plans.
