About The Position

The Licensed Registered Nurse / Registered Nurse is responsible for the medical care and safety of clients in detox and residential treatment. The nurse assesses clients on admission and throughout their stay, administers prescribed medications and injections, monitors vital signs and responds to changes, and maintains accurate records in the electronic health record system. The role works closely with providers, clinical staff, and fellow nurses to develop and carry out client care plans, while maintaining medication stock and medication administration records (MARs) according to licensing and accreditation standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced setting, supporting clients during the vulnerable early days of treatment. The nurse also leads client groups, so comfort speaking in front of a group is part of the job.

Requirements

Current LPN/RN license.
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Strong patient assessment skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with health coaching techniques to promote patient wellness.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical examinations and assess patient health status.
Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Perform IV insertion and catheterization procedures when necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Build positive relationships with clients, clinical staff, and medical staff.
Manage accurate medication stock and MARs.
Implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Lead client groups.
