We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Medical Innovation Unit at Augusta Health. Performs the functions of a licensed practical nurse in data collection for planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of all assigned patient care under the supervision of and in collaboration with the registered nurse. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit or within his/her department. Must be able to provide care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse, eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current VA LPN license
- Certified in BLS
- Ability to meet physical and mental requirements for job in fast paced nursing unit
- Unit and annual competencies to be completed each year
- HIPPA - no breaches of confidentiality
- Nurse Practice Act - scope of practice

Responsibilities
