About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients with a variety of medical concerns on a highly specialized unit. The Wesson 4 unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit with 24 telemetry monitors, known for its engaged management, commitment to professional growth, excellent nursing ratios, and strong patient experience focus. The unit partners closely with the Physician Medical Director and serves as a teaching unit for Medical Residents and Nursing Students.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse Certification Required
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required
- GED or High School Diploma required
- GED or HiSET
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Licensed Practical Nurse - Other
Responsibilities
- Care for patients diagnosed with a variety of medical concerns.
- Provide telemetry monitoring.
- Participate in nurse-driven change projects.
- Serve as a leader on the healthcare team.
- Contribute to patient experience.
