Licensed Practical Nurse- Acute Cardiology
About The Position
Northside Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Acute Cardiology. The LPN renders direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, and participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area. LPNs work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve patients’ function and protect their health and safety. At Northside Hospital, LPNs participate in the Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program (L-NEXT), which offers career advancement opportunities through expanding knowledge and expertise via academic and continuing education and specialty certification.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as an LPN.
- Additional life support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
