About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of registered nurses, the LPN provides patient care and guidance in patient education and activities within their education and demonstrated competencies. The role involves care in the Health Care Unit and housing units, implementing treatment programs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, documenting care, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position offers a day schedule and an available bonus of up to $2,000.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Reside in the United States.

- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units; contribute to individualized treatment planning and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
- Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift.
- Follow safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
- Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures and implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
- Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions and follow policies and procedures.
