About The Position
Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents. The role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring residents’ conditions, documenting care, and working with a dedicated team to support positive resident outcomes. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position at Valley View Village, 2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, Iowa. Available shifts are evenings from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and nights from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The wage range is $29.63 to $36.12 per hour, depending on experience. A $5,000 bonus is available for evening shifts only. The community qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness in Iowa after 120 qualifying payments. Valley View Village is a continuum-of-care campus on 16 acres. Requirements
- Current Iowa LPN license or LPN licensure in a compact state.
- CPR certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Stable work history.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter who wants to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Notify the Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident’s condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, and monitor their effectiveness and residents’ responses.
- Monitor residents and report changes in their condition.
- Document care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents, families, and staff.
- Monitor the performance of CNA staff.
- Use strong interpersonal skills when interacting with others.
