About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide home health care. The role is full-time on the day shift and includes paid training. After training is complete, compensation is paid per visit or per point. The advertised hourly pay range is $26.00 to $29.00. Mileage reimbursement is offered; a fleet vehicle program may also be available, subject to restrictions.

Requirements

One year of clinical LPN experience.
Current LPN license for the state or states assigned.
Current CPR certification.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

Verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit.
Collaborate frequently with the physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met, and notify them as soon as possible when a patient's condition changes.
Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
Check vital signs.
Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
Perform specialized procedures ordered by the physician, such as Foley catheter changes.
Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
Complete documentation accurately and on time.
