LPN - Part Time/Per Diem
About The Position
SGA H. Care Staffing LLC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for healthcare facilities. The LPN provides direct patient care as a member of the healthcare team, typically assisting a Registered Nurse and often overseeing one or more Certified Nursing Assistants in carrying out care plans and maintaining patient comfort and well-being. The role involves hands-on assistance with patients’ daily living needs and contributing to positive health outcomes. The position offers part-time or per-diem work. Staff can choose from available shifts, and the agency provides support and communicates work opportunities. High-performing staff may be requested by client facilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and record them in patient files.
- Maintain patients’ cleanliness and comfort, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication.
- Update patient records confidentially.
- Evaluate patients’ well-being and report needs to medical staff.
- Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
- Change dressings and bandages and ensure patients are healing properly.
- Move patients between wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys.
- Assist Registered Nurses and oversee Certified Nursing Assistants in carrying out care plans, as applicable.
