About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide adult home health visits. The role is scheduled for daytime work, approximately 20 hours or 16 points per week, helping patients heal at home. The hourly pay range is $26.00 to $32.00. Benefit eligibility may vary by position and shift status, and participation in certain benefits requires enrollment in an Amedisys medical plan.

Requirements

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license specific to the state or states assigned.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit.
• Collaborate frequently with the physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met, and notify them as soon as possible when a patient's condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and complete medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by the physician, such as Foley catheter changes.
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
