About The Position

Excel at Woodburt for Rehab & Nursing is seeking a qualified, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join its growing team. This is a part-time position with no benefits. The successful candidate must be available on weekends and some holidays. The role is at a CPT Approved Site, and the LPN will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. The ideal candidate is experienced in providing diverse basic care while remaining patient and calm.

Requirements

• Valid New York State LPN license.
• Availability on weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical histories accurately.
• Take and record measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts.
• Assist patients with necessary daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas; clean and dress wounds; and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
