About The Position

TK Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Seminole County Jail in Wewoka, Oklahoma. This role offers an opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills while making a meaningful difference for an underserved patient population. Experienced LPNs and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Correctional nursing provides exposure to acute and chronic healthcare needs in a structured and secure work environment, with a collaborative healthcare team. Correctional healthcare experience is not required.

Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted LPN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to successfully complete a thorough background investigation
  • Dependable with strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Nice To Haves

  • Correctional healthcare experience is not required

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct nursing care based on individual patient needs
  • Administering medications and treatments as ordered
  • Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
  • Responding to acute healthcare needs
  • Assisting with management of chronic medical conditions
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs and other clinical information
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Communicating changes in patient condition to the appropriate provider
  • Collaborating with the facility's healthcare team
  • Following established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
  • Providing care within the scope of practical nursing under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse.
