About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This full-time ENT position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on day shifts. The role helps ensure patients’ health, comfort, and safety; contributes to patient assessment; and provides care and technical support to healthcare professionals. Depending on the department, duties may also include scheduling and related administrative coordination.

Requirements

Graduate from a school or college nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Hold current practical nurse licensure in the state or states of practice.
Have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span, or have at least 400 hours of RN or LPN experience at another facility.

Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of patients.
Document a thorough medical history from patients.
Contribute to patient assessment.
Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
Counsel patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse.
Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge, using age- and population-specific standards for the assigned clinical setting.
In applicable departments, schedule patients and validate insurance, guarantor, and demographic information.
When applicable, coordinate provider schedules across multiple locations and manage daily scheduling adjustments.
