About The Position
AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for day shifts. The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care addressing patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs, and meets the communication needs of patients and families. The role is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires initiative and responsibility consistent with professional expectations. The LPN maintains regulatory requirements and follows nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. The position includes general nursing duties across departments with adequate supervision. AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is a long-term acute care hospital specializing in complex medical needs and uses a multidisciplinary approach that includes clinical and therapeutic interventions and family involvement.
Requirements
- Current New Mexico LPN licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
- Provide care with initiative and responsibility consistent with professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain regulatory agency requirements and comply with nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptoms.
- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
- Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
