About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, IL. This role involves providing holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff. Assignments will be restricted to one location at a time, with opportunities throughout the state of Illinois. Travelers are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.
Requirements
- Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Illinois
- Must be 90+ miles for selected facility
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
