About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, IL. This role involves providing holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff. Assignments will be restricted to one location at a time, with opportunities throughout Illinois. Travel LPNs are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.
Requirements
- Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Illinois.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility.
- Appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must live 90+ miles from the facility.
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
