About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides and exercises nursing judgment in resident care through the nursing process, using knowledge from resident physical assessments and information gathered from the interdisciplinary health care team. The nurse conducts themselves professionally and respectfully when administering nursing care and educating residents and family members, interacting with interdisciplinary team members, and engaging with the community.

This position is at Winona Senior Services and is available full-time or part-time, up to 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period). It is a third-shift role, with every third weekend and every other holiday. Starting wage is $27.00, and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is offered.

Requirements

• Minnesota LPN license.
• 12 continuing education credits per two years.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and patient information databases such as Cerner, EMR, or American Data.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
• Document resident care and medication information accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise staff and delegate duties using effective communication techniques.
• Provide nursing care and education to residents and family members.
