About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Mobile Medication Unit, part of the Utica Opioid Treatment Program. The role provides clinical services to patients in Oneida and Fulton counties as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, in a variety of clinical settings. The schedule is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, with hours between 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Compensation is $22.00–$25.00 per hour. Full-time LPNs are eligible for a sign-on incentive of up to $4,000.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide client services for medical issues.
• Monitor and document clients’ medical status and signs and symptoms of withdrawal, and report findings to a supervisor or medical director.
• Work with other medical staff to support continuity of clients’ medical care.
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding clients’ medical concerns.
• Work directly with clients to provide medical services and interpret medical information.
• Provide direct client care, including medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, and communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law.
• Provide public health and screening protocols.
• Provide and document medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
