In this role, you will provide hands-on nursing care across residential, outpatient psychiatry, and substance use disorder programs. You will administer medications, perform assessments, support clinical documentation, and collaborate closely with providers and care teams. Requirements

  • Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Missouri required
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program required
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint screening
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration, psychiatric care, and substance use treatment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients and team members
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), documentation systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA)
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment settings
  • Administer medications through multiple routes including oral and injections in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Perform physical and mental health assessments, psychiatric screenings, and patient evaluations
  • Support client intake by rooming patients, obtaining vitals, collecting lab samples, and verifying medical histories
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medication administration, assessments, and care interactions
  • Coordinate with providers to manage medication refills and address client medication-related questions
  • Monitor medication inventory, conduct MAR reviews, and complete medication counts to ensure compliance
  • Assist with lab duties including phlebotomy and maintaining up-to-date medical records
  • Promote infection control, client hygiene, and overall health and safety within the facility
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support care coordination and positive client outcomes
