Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic (Boone)
About The Position
We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinic setting at Branch Health Clinic, Boone. This is a mission-essential role supporting military healthcare operations in a structured, team-driven environment. The clinic operates Monday – Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with flexible scheduling and potential weekend and holiday shifts. This is an onsite clinical role only, with no telework options. The role involves delivering direct patient care, triaging patients, administering medications, assisting providers, monitoring patient status, educating patients and families, and supporting clinic workflow. The work environment is a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting, requiring collaboration with physicians, RNs, and care teams, and utilizing electronic health records.
Requirements
- Graduate of a State Board-approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent military training
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or acute care setting within the last 2 years
- Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license (any U.S. state/territory accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care following established clinical protocols
- Triage patients, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Monitor and document patient status, reporting any changes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care instructions
- Support clinic workflow, patient throughput, and care coordination
