About The Position

The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is hiring a patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse to work primarily at the North Liberty Pediatrics Clinic. The nurse may also float to other patient specialties and clinic locations, including Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Specialty/Outreach Clinics, based on clinical need and hours. The clinics provide services such as pregnancy and baby wellness care, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute visits, annual check-ups, mental health services, and on-site laboratory services. The team builds relationships with patients, monitors their care history, and provides personalized care, coordinating referrals to UI Health Care specialists when needed. The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, participates in developing nursing care plans and implementing therapeutic programs, and may direct and supervise assigned nursing personnel in less complex situations. In more complex situations, the LPN assists the registered professional nurse. This is a regular salaried position at 80% time (32 hours per week), with variable hours Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
