About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The LPN works under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs) and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs. The position is full-time at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois, with an evening schedule of 1 PM to 9 PM and pay of $36.23 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one.
• Active, appropriate Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
