About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs) and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to physical and behavioral health needs. The posting lists the job shift as day shift and states work hours of 1:00 PM–9:00 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one.
- Active, appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
